You NEED to hear this!

It's NORMAL to feel 'Meh' periodically. Just like nature goes through seasons, we go through facets in life.

All feelings are for feeling:

Here's where it gets trickier, time-wise you will feel lost to the point where you don't know where to start the fix and mental reboot.

Do this:

It's called thought-work. Change is driven by processing your feelings and identifying and changing your thoughts.

Usually the answer to change is found in your thinking and the behaviour it induces.

1) Emotional processing:

Get curious about your resistance to the emotion. Why are you resistant?

Notice your resistance. Identify the emotions. Allow the emotions to exist. Pause before reacting. Observe the emotions. Let them be. The goal is simply to befriend your emotions.

Write it down, document it to bring more understanding to the situation:

When, How, When does it happen? What are these emotions teaching you?

2) Changing your thoughts:

Only once you're curious enough to befriend the situation, can you start to shift it. It's okay to be confused, but be curious too. Start practicing your acceptance of the emotion and the situation. Life is a journey, and we will never reach full understanding or control; and isn't that a relief in a way? By accepting something as it is, we also remove the tension around it.

Start by holding space for yourself. Be willing to understand, to listen and to learn. Stay in this space of acceptance and openness. Befriend yourself.

Start by changing your relationship to your thoughts, that's an instrumental part of setting yourself free from old thinking and how you can welcome in the new; thinking-wise and habit-wise. Only when we can change our thinking about something, will it truly set us free.

As a next step, take inventory of your life, what are areas you're lacking in right now? Shift your focus towards the neglected areas.

Write out simple mission statements how you'd like to address the neglected areas, and start addressing them. It will feel good.
